Overview

The Notes & Activity Log tab is where staff record what they have done with a customer or what still needs doing. Notes stay on the customer record forever and are visible to anyone with access to that profile.

Filtering Notes

When the customer has notes, a row of filter pills appears at the top of the card. Each pill shows a count:

  • All shows everything.
  • Pinned shows notes you have pinned to the top.
  • Needs Action shows notes that still need follow-up.
  • Actioned shows notes that were marked complete.
  • General shows informational notes with no action attached.
  • Activity shows manually logged activities (calls, emails, etc.).

Adding Notes & Activity

Two buttons appear in the top-right of the card:

  • Add Note opens a form where you type a comment, choose a note type (General, Needs Action, etc.), and optionally set a due date for action notes.
  • Log Activity opens a form to record something you already did, such as a phone call, with a date and a comment.

Note & Activity Items

Each item shows who created it, when, the comment text, and a colored tag indicating its type (Pinned Alert, Needs Action with optional due date, Actioned, General, or Activity Log). Click the three-dot button on the right of an item to open its menu:

  • Pin Note / Unpin Note for general notes.
  • Edit Note to change the text or type.
  • Delete Note or Delete Activity to remove the item.
